Overview
Where 0.0 - Junior Stages introduces young artists to theater and builds their foundation, the Signature Stages take that foundation to professional-level rigor. Students at this tier are not just performing — they are training as serious young artists.
Two program formats live in the Signature Stages:
Signature Shows — Ages 12–18
Full, story-driven musicals with complete production values, running approximately a dozen performances. Operate at the intersection of rigorous artistic training and compassionate mentorship — demanding professional-level commitment while maintaining educational support that allows young artists to take creative risks.
Staff- and faculty-led mentorship creates a safe space for young artists to discover, develop, and grow their unique voice while immersing themselves in storytelling and the art of performance.
Show with a Pro
Signature Shows that integrate professional guest artists — designers, performers, music directors — throughout the entire process. The bridge between educational theater and professional practice. Guests conduct specialized workshops, model professional rehearsal practices, and work alongside students as cast members.

These are the productions that define Encore publicly. A Signature Show is the kind of show people in the community plan their year around. They demand the most from young artists and they deliver the most in return — both as performances and as educational experiences.
